I had an amazing stay at a Ryokan in Shizuoka. The natural surroundings were breathtaking, and the hotel matched its surroundings. Cleanliness was top-notch in all areas of the property I was in. The hotel facilities exceeded my expectations, and the breakfast was simply delicious. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive. The location is perfect, situated in the hills rising above the next station on the line.
No negatives to report.

This ryokan was the perfect place for our romantic escape. the room was very comfortable and quiet, allowing us to relax and unwind. the food offered was delicious and beautifully presented. We also appreciated the outdoor onsen that had great views and was very private. the surrounding village was charming and provided a peaceful setting for a walk.
That the ryokan was a bit difficult to find and access, and there was limited information available in English. some of the traditional customs and practices can be somewhat confusing for first-time visitors, but the staff were always willing to help us navigate these.

We had an incredible experience at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The staff treated us with exceptional care and hospitality, making us feel like we were the only guests there. The location in the hills provided a breathtaking view of the surrounding natural beauty. Furthermore, the hotel's amenities were top-notch, from the air conditioning to the mini-bar and in-room safe. We were also impressed with the flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi availability throughout the property.
In addition to the stunning location and quality amenities, the dining experience at this venue was out of this world. The meals provided were some of the best we've ever had, with an emphasis on delicious small seasonal dishes.

Loved the waterfront setting with the serene atmosphere and beautiful garden view. The room was spacious and comfortable providing a genuine Japanese-style experience. Dining in-room was convenient and the food tasted delicious.
There was only one outdoor public bath which made it difficult for mixed-gender couples to enjoy together. The town surrounding the hotel was small and limited in activities to do.

the rooms were spacious and beautifully adorned with traditional Japanese art. the service was exceptional, with attentive staff taking care of our every need. We particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, served in-room, and the relaxing outdoor bath with stunning views of the surrounding nature.
The only drawback was the limited bathing facilities, with only one public bath and a small pool.
